What Antisemitism Is and Is Not
/In recent days following the Charlie Kirk assassination, there has been a ramping up of propaganda to falsely label people as "antisemitic." Similarly, it has been popular to falsely call people "racists" because they hold to different opinions. Racism and antisemitism are closely related. Let it be firmly settled in your mind what it means to be antisemitic so that you can spot and filter out the propaganda and avoid falling into the “race baiting” trap promoted by some who love anarchy.[1] There are many reliable sources that define antisemitism. Britannica is one example and gives us a definition of antisemitism and its origins:
Antisemitism, hostility toward or discrimination against Jews as a religious or racial group. The term antisemitism was coined in 1879 by the German agitator Wilhelm Marr to designate the anti-Jewish campaigns underway in central Europe at that time. Nazi antisemitism, which culminated in the Holocaust, had a racist dimension in that it targeted Jews because of their supposed biological characteristics—even those who had themselves converted to other religions or whose parents were converts.[2]
Notice the two primary characteristics of antisemitism stated in the first sentence are:
1. Hatred or discrimination against Jewish people because of their religious beliefs.
2. Hatred or discrimination against Jewish people because of who they are racially, or to be accurate, ethnically.
Before we get into what antisemitism is and is not, we need to consider its relation to the false idea that there are different races. Antisemitism comes from so-called “racism” which has its origins in Darwinian evolution. The concept of "different races" and "racism" has been used by Satan to pit people against one another. Darwin proposed that the reason there are different ethnicities with different physical characteristics is that they evolved from different batches of primordial slime via the mechanism of mutation. Darwin proposed, without any evidence, that people with less melanin in their skin, white Europeans, were a superior “race” to those with more melanin in their skin, dark skinned ethnicities. Uniformitarian macro evolution, as proposed by Darwin, has been scientifically proven to be false. It is an inflammation of the wishbone theory that contradicts scientific law, empirical evidence, and far more importantly, the Word of God. For instance:
1. Everything does not come from nothing. To believe in the “big bang” and the eternality of matter is to deny the scientific law of cause and effect. The Bible says the eternal God made the heavens and earth and all they contain out of nothing in six, literal, sequential, twenty-four-hour days (Gen. 1:1-31; Ex. 20:11).
2. Order does not come from chaos. To believe that order comes from chaos you have to deny the second law of thermodynamics and entropy which states that open systems decay into randomness, not design, and definitely do not improve design over time as required by evolution.
3. Life does not come from non-life, i.e., spontaneous generation is false. To believe spontaneous generation is to leave the realm of observational science, which requires measurability and repeatability, and enter into the realm of faith-based religion founded upon nothing.
4. Random chance and accidents cannot produce DNA, let alone add information to DNA over time. DNA is the most complicated micro data storage system ever discovered by man. DNA was created and designed by God, not chance and time.
5. Time, chance, nature, mother nature, etc., are not intelligent, creative, nor do they have volition. They have never done anything as we relentlessly hear stated by the priests and priestesses of evolution, e.g., “See here how mother nature has helped this animal to adapt. . .” To believe time, chance, or nature are intelligent creative forces with volition is to anthropomorphize inanimate, non-sentient concepts, and to worship them as God. It is to place your faith in what is created rather than the Creator who is blessed forever (Rom. 1:25).
6. Mutation never adds information to DNA so that a living creature does everything it did before and something else better. Normally mutation produces sterility, and if reproduction is still possible after mutation, the living entity usually reverts back to its original form.[3] Therefore, mutation cannot be the mechanism of so-called macro evolutionary change, one species or kind changing into another, as Darwin hypothesized.
7. There are no transitional fossils in the geologic record as Darwin hoped would be discovered over time. No gradual change is observed in the fossil record, only variation within species or kind.
I could go on, but it is beyond attestation that evolution is an anti-scientific religion believed in by those who ignore observational science, empirical evidence, and the Word of God. People believe evolution because they hate God, suppress the truth in unrighteousness, want to sin without their conscience screaming at them, or because they have been deceived. No one believes in evolution based on the scientific method which requires measurability and repeatability. True science holds fast to scientific laws. Scientific laws must have a record of never being proven to be false.
Settle it in your mind, reader, evolution is a humanistic religion believed by faith, contrary to scientific method, empirical evidence, scientific laws, and the Word of God. The idea of there being different races has evolved from the dark, primordial slime of the Darwinian uniformitarian evolutionary religion. Therefore, it is best not to use the term "racism" or to even speak of different “races” for to do so is to concede the lie of the evolutionary religion. The Word of God is clear, there is only one race, the human race, descended from the first two human beings created by God, Adam and Eve:
· "Now the man called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all the living." (Genesis 3:20)
· "These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated." (Genesis 9:19)
· "These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood." (Genesis 10:32)
· “Do we not all have one father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously each against his brother so as to profane the covenant of our fathers?" (Malachi 2:10)
· ". . . He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, (Acts 17:26)
· "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned— for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the offense of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come." (Romans 5:12–14)
· "For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive." (1 Corinthians 15:22)
All the texts above teach us there is just one race, Adam’s race. If you are a human being, you are a child of Adam, part of Adam's race, which means you are blood relatives with every other person on the face of the planet. Let this fact and its ramifications sink in to your cerebral cortex. The human genome project confirms what the Bible, God’s Word, has long stated, there is only one race. Grok summarizes the Human Genome Project’s conclusions:
The Human Genome Project (HGP), a landmark international effort completed in 2003, sequenced the entire human genome and analyzed genetic variations across populations. Among its most significant findings was the confirmation that humans share over 99% of their DNA, underscoring that there is no genetic basis for dividing humanity into distinct biological “races.” Instead, the project revealed that all humans belong to one species—Homo sapiens—with genetic differences reflecting gradual, continuous variations tied to geographic ancestry and historical migrations rather than fixed, discrete categories.[4]
When you realize there is only one race, the lies of evolution, racism, race baiting, and the foundation of many polarizing conflicts today vanish like steam rising from a hot cup of coffee. So don't fall into the abyss of race baiting propaganda. The idea of "many races" is a lie. We are all blood relatives of the one human race created by God as described in Genesis 1-2. If you are wondering how all the different ethnicities came about and why each ethnicity has distinct physical characteristics, I would recommend Ken Ham's easy to read book, One Race, One Blood: The Biblical Answer to Racism. Antisemitism is not "racism" towards the Jews, it is hating your blood relatives created in the image of God because they have different physical characteristics, religion, culture, diet, dress, history, etc. If you hate any group of people, for whatever reason, you are sinning against God and your blood relatives who are created in God's image (Gen. 1:27; James 3:9; 1 Jn. 2:9-11; 3:15; 4:20). The need to love others is stated in the second great commandment to love your neighbor (Lev. 19:18; Mt. 5:43-48; 22:34-40; Rom. 13:9-10; Gal. 5:14; James 2:8). Antisemitism is hating Jewish people for being Jewish in religion, culture, or ethnicity. It is not hating a different race of people, but your own blood relatives.
Let me clarify by making some distinctions that seem to be lost or purposefully concealed or ignored by those who promote the lie of racism. You can love the Jews, desire their peace, prosperity, right to exist as a nation, to have freedom to practice their religion, pray for their salvation, and long to see their exaltation in the Messianic Kingdom of Jesus Christ as promised in the Bible, and yet:
1. You can disagree with past and current decisions of the current Israeli government.
2. You can disagree with actions that Mossad or IDF have or are currently taking in the world.
3. You can disagree with how the Gaza Strip, Golan Heights, or other wars that have been or are being fought by Israel.
4. You can disagree with the behavior of individual Jews or groups of Jews in the past or present.
Even if you disagree with some or all of the areas mentioned above, you can still love the Jewish people and be "pro-Israel." You don’t have to put a stamp of approval on everything the current Israeli government, IDF, Mossad, or some Jews are doing or have done in the past. Think! If criticizing certain Jewish individuals, groups of Jews, Jewish leaders, or the nation of Israel as a whole were antisemitic, then all the prophets in the Old Testament and the Lord God himself would be antisemitic since they all relentlessly criticized, exposed, and condemned sinful behavior of individual Jews, groups of Jews, Jewish leaders, and the Jewish nation as a whole. Just read the prophets in the Old Testament for truckloads of examples.
Jesus, the promised Jewish Messiah, did the same thing. Read Jesus’ scathing rebuke of the religious leaders in Matthew 23 for just one of many examples. Criticizing sinful behavior among the Jews and desiring they do what is right is not being antisemitic. It’s being loving. Don't give any ground to "race baiting." Call out racism as the lie that it is. Don't hate the Jews or any other ethnicity for that matter because they look different, have different amount of melanin in their skin, have a different religion, culture, language, or dress, for they are your blood relatives, created in the image of God just like you.
Having said that, by all means examine everything carefully by the Word of God and hold fast to that which is good (1 Thess. 5:21). Do the loving thing and speak out against everything that is contrary to the Word of God. Take every thought captive in obedience to Christ (2 Cor. 10:5), regardless of who is committing the evil. Speaking the truth is always the most loving thing to do for any individual, group, or nation, Jew and Gentile alike. Form your own opinions founded upon the Word of God and do not let the race baiters and anarchy propagandists silence you.
Expose evil (Eph. 5:11-14).
Speaking the truth in love is holy, righteous, and good (Ps. 15:2; Prov. 12:17; Jer. 9:5; Zech. 8:16; Mt. 10:27; Eph. 4:15, 25).
Call sinners to repent of their sin and to place their faith in Jesus Christ, who was crucified for sinners, died, was buried and resurrected from the dead (Isa. 45:22; 55:6-7; Acts 17:30-31; 1 Cor. 15:1-4).
Expect all who claim to be Christians, who name the name of Jesus Christ, to bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance (Mt. 3:8; Lk. 3:8; Rev. 3:3).
True, biblical Christianity is not a mere profession, a label, a declaration, but a life transforming act of God’s saving grace (Ezek. 11:19-20; 18:31; 36:26; Jn. 3:1-7; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 5:16; Eph. 2:10).
When you consider the various ethnicities, cultures, societies, and nations of the world, remember they are your blood relatives and fellow brothers and sisters in Adam’s fallen race. They are all created in the image of God and therefore have inherent value. They all need salvation in Jesus Christ. Love all men by speaking the truth, the gospel, and sound doctrine to them in love (Eph. 4:15). Never be badgered, shamed, mocked, or labeled into tolerating or remaining silent in the face of evil. If you find yourself getting frustrated at the evil in the world, the injustice, lying, murder, and hate, wars, etc., take some time to remember the spiritual battle we are all in right now for the truth, the glory of God, and the precious souls of men. Consider the Scriptures below in relation to the evil you currently see in the world.
1. Jesus condemned the religious leaders as children of Satan who did the desires of Satan because they wanted to murder Him, “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” (John 8:44)
2. Jesus, speaking to a crowd who had just heard the voice of God from heaven like thunder, spoke of Satan as this world’s ruler, “Now judgment is upon this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” (John 12:31)
3. The Apostle Paul explained that people are blinded from the truth of the gospel by Satan, saying, “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:3–4)
4. The Apostle Paul tells us explicitly that false apostles, teachers, preachers, etc., will in deceit infiltrate and seek to corrupt churches. Because they are Satan’s children, they act like Satan who disguises himself as a holy angel. “For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.” (2 Corinthians 11:13–15)
5. The Apostle Paul reminds the believers in Ephesus that they were once enslaved to sin and Satan. They were the devil’s pawns before they heard the gospel, repented of their sin, believed, and were transformed by God’s saving grace. “And you were dead in your trespasses and sins, in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience. Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.” (Ephesians 2:1–3)
6. The Apostle Paul tells us specifically and succinctly that the real battle for truth, the glory of God, and the precious souls of men is spiritual in nature, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12)
7. The Apostle Paul reminds us that demons, not men, are the source of false doctrine, “But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron.” (1 Timothy 4:1–2)
8. The Apostle John explains how Satan has the entire world of unbelieving men in his power, “We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” (1 John 5:19)
9. The Apostle John explains how Satan, the deceiver, uses men who deny Jesus Christ to promote antichrist doctrines, “For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.” (2 John 7)
10. The Apostle John explains how Satan, described as the great dragon, deceives the whole world of unbelieving men, “And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.” (Revelation 12:9)
If we summarize the texts above, we get a clear picture of what is happening in the world. We are reminded that everyone who has not repented of their sin and placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation is a child of Satan (Jn. 8:44), are ruled by Satan (Jn. 12:31), blinded by Satan (2 Cor. 4:4), are deceitful like Satan (2 Cor. 11:13-15), are enslaved to the world and the flesh, and Satan who is working in them (Eph. 2:1-3). The believer’s struggle is not against men, but against the world forces of darkness in the spiritual realm who work through men (Eph. 6:12). False doctrine, though spoken by men, is demonic doctrine (1 Tim. 4:1-2). Right now, the entire world lies in Satan’s power (1 Jn. 5:19). Those who deny the incarnation of the Son of God are of Satan and teach antichrist doctrines (2 Jn. 7). The whole world of unbelieving men are currently deceived by Satan (Rev. 12:9). Look with the eye of faith into the spiritual realm and accept that we are in a spiritual war (2 Kings 2:11; 6:15-17).
As uncomfortable as these truths may be, they are our God given spiritual X-ray into the world we live in so we can be aware of what is happening in the spiritual realm and understand why all unbelievers, including many who claim to be Christians and who attend churches all over the world, are in eternal peril. The Bible predicts churches will be glutted with Satan’s children in the last days. Don’t be naive. Many pretend to know Jesus Christ or who are deceived about their true spiritual condition. Stop, think, and meditate on what you know to be true from the Word of God.
Jesus speaks of “the many” on the broad road to destruction who think they are on the road to heaven (Mt. 7:13-14).
Jesus speaks of those who follow false teachers to hell, but think they are following faithful shepherds to heaven (Mt. 7:15-20).
Jesus speaks of those in the Church who claim Jesus as Lord, who do miraculous works in Jesus’ name, but are rejected on judgment day and cast into hell (Mt. 7:21-23).
Jesus speaks of religious persons who think they are living for the Lord, but who have built their lives on the sand of religious profession because they hear Jesus’ words but “do not act upon them” (Mt. 7:24-27).
Time would fail us if we considered the many texts warning us of religious unbelievers in local churches. They are described as tares among the wheat (Mt. 13:24-30), goats among the sheep (Mt. 25:31-46), deceitful workers of iniquity, (2 Cor. 11:13), and hidden reefs in your love feasts (Jude 12), to name a few. Be persuaded from the Word of God that a person is not a Christian if they don’t follow the Lord Jesus Christ (Lk. 6:46), if they don’t bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance (Mt. 3:8; Lk. 3:8). Jesus’ sheep hear His voice and follow Him (Jn. 10:27). Being a Christian is not merely about attending church and claiming to be a Christian.
It is about knowing God through faith in Jesus Christ (Jn. 17:3). It is about loving God by keeping His commandments (Jn. 14:15; 1 Jn. 5:3). It is about being born again (Jn. 3:1-7), by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone, apart from any of your works or merits (Eph. 2:8-9; 2 Tim. 1:9; Titus 3:5). The world of unbelieving men are literally going to hell and there is only one hope, repentance from sin and faith in Jesus Christ, who was crucified for sinners and resurrected from the dead (1 Cor. 15:1-4). Therefore, we must both live and preach the gospel to all of Adam’s fallen race.
· All need salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Rom. 3:10-18).
· All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23).
· Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father but through Him (Jn. 14:6).
· There is salvation in no one else but Jesus Christ, the prophesied Jewish Messiah, Lord, and King. There is no other name, given among men, by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
The only solution to antisemitism, which is based on the lie of racism and man’s hatred towards their blood relatives is faith in Jesus Christ. Repent of your sin. Place your faith in Jesus Christ alone to save you from the judgment you deserve. Read Jesus’ words to Nicodemus, the leading teacher of the pharisees in Jesus’ day:
“As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. “For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. “He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. “For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. “But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” (John 3:14–21)
[1] The term “race baiting” is the use of the term race or racism in an attempt to polarize people, not unite them. The concept of race flows from the lie of evolution. Evolution teaches that if you look different than someone else, have different biological characteristics, that therefore you must have evolved from a different batch of primordial slime and are either inferior or superior to another so-called “race.” Thus, to label someone a racist concedes to the lie of evolution and promotes conflict and hostility between different ethnicities. It creates a “you versus me” or “us versus them” polarity.
