BIBLICAL MUSINGS ABOUT THE INCREASING WICKEDNESS OF OUR WORLD, THE NEPHILIM, GIANTS, AND UFO DISCLOSURE

This blog post will surely be a wild ride and may be incomprehensible for some who have never studied what the Bible says about the Nephilim, giants, Satan, and demons and have not delved into the current UFO disclosure movement. There is a push inside and outside our government for UFO (unidentified flying object) or UAP (unidentified arial phenomena) disclosure. Podcasts, blog posts, TV series, major motion pictures are all telling us, “aliens from other planets are real” or “interdimensional beings are real.” Many popular podcasters are talking about and interviewing “experiencers,” those who claim to have been abducted by aliens, or who have had run-ins with aliens, cryptids, extraterrestrial beings, non-human intelligences, and/or interdimensional beings. Some are making claims of human hybridization programs, and interspecies animal chimeras. The numbers of these kinds of podcasts are legion and even the main stream media and government is starting to talk about them. What is actually happening? How do you go about discerning what is true, if anything, from what is false?

I have heard many, who don’t believe in Biblical authority, inspiration, infallibility, and the inerrancy of Scripture, use, distort, and abuse the Scriptures to support their take on things (2 Pet. 3:16). Just to lay my cards on the table, I’m a Biblicist. I believe the Bible is God’s inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative, all-sufficient Word (Deut. 8:3; Mt. 4:4; 2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:3-5, 20-21). I believe God speaks to us through the Scriptures objectively. Granted, we may err in interpreting the Bible, but the Bible itself, inspired by the Holy Spirit, cannot err, because God the Holy Spirit, who inspired it, cannot err. I believe whatever contradicts the clear teaching of Scripture is false. There are things the Bible doesn’t address like driving a car, making an omelet, or brushing your teeth. These things are not sinful and don’t contradict what the Bible says. They are things the Bible “allows” as biblically acceptable, but are not directly stated in Scripture. The Bible gives us “everything pertaining to life and godliness” (2 Pet. 1:3), but doesn’t address many things that have no eternal significance or relate to “life and godliness.”

Because of the huge alien, extraterrestrial, interdimensional beings push, I think a blog post from a Biblicist perspective is necessary to at least explore what the Bible says, condemns, and allows. I confess that I don’t really know all that is happening in the world today about the subjects we will be discussing in this blog post, but I do know that anything that contradicts the Word of God is false. I do know God’s Word is true (Ps. 119:160). Things that are biblically permissible or allowable might be true, but I don’t know if they are, since they lie outside of what the Bible addresses. My intention is to “examine everything carefully” by the Word of God “and hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thess. 5:21). Hopefully this will better equip those who believe in Biblical authority and sufficiency to filter what the world is telling us about aliens, extraterrestrials, the Nephilim, giants, and interdimensional beings.

The Obvious Increase of Evil in the World

Let’s begin by considering what the Bible says about the rapid increase of evil in our world today. The Apostle Paul said that in "the last days," the days in which we live (Heb. 1:1-2; 1 Pet. 1:20), there would be increasing evil. He stated in 2 Tim. 3:1-9:

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these. 6 For among them are those who enter into households and captivate weak women weighed down with sins, led on by various impulses, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men of depraved mind, rejected in regard to the faith. 9 But they will not make further progress; for their folly will be obvious to all, just as Jannes’s and Jambres’s folly was also. (NASB)

Paul’s words in 2 Tim. 3:1-9, written some 2,000 years ago, sound like our daily news. The Christian is told to “avoid such men as these” (vs.5). Paul warns of the increase of the seduction of women (vs. 6). And with the rise of AI, we are “ever learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (vs. 7). “The world, through its wisdom, did not come to know God” (1 Cor. 1:21). The folly of the ungodly has not yet become “obvious to all” (vs. 9), but will become obvious at the great white throne judgment (Rev. 20:11-15). The Bible teaches we should expect evil to increase as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ draws near. “Evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse” (2 Tim. 3:13). It is becoming increasingly more difficult to “avoid such men as these” (2 Tim. 3:5) without going out of the world (Jn. 17:15; 1 Cor. 5:9-10). The generation preceding the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to earth in glory will be especially wicked.

God’s Sudden and Unexpected Judgment Of Evil Men

You may marvel at, and even fear, the increasing evil, corruption, immorality, lying, wars, and rumors of wars in the world. Jesus tells us in Mt. 24:6, “You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end.” In fact, the Apostle Paul in Rom. 1:18-32 tells us the increasing wickedness in society is an expression of the pre-judgment of God leading to the ultimate final judgment of God (Rev. 20:11-15). When people or nations "suppress the truth in unrighteousness" (Rom. 1:18), stop "honoring and giving thanks to God" (Rom. 1:21), "exchange the truth of God for a lie" and "worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator" (Rom. 1:25), all of which is the case all over the world today, it is an expression of the judgment of God. God first gives people who reject His Word and His Son Jesus Christ over to immorality (Rom. 1:24). Second, he gives them over to homosexuality (Rom. 1:26). Third, He gives them over to “a depraved mind” to be "filled with all unrighteousness" (Rom. 1:28-32), which is what we are increasingly observing in our world today. God’s judgment has fallen on our world (Jn. 12:31). We are thrice given over to evil. God gives societies over to evil to motivate people to repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation (Prov. 3:7; Mt. 3:7; 10:28; 2 Cor. 5:11) and to prepare those who will not repent of their sins and believe in Jesus for final and eternal judgment (Rev. 20:11-15).

A very relevant text to consider is Jesus’ words in Lk. 17:26-30 where He predicts what the world will be like right before His Second Coming in glory to judge the earth:

26 “And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: 27 they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 “It was the same as happened in the days of Lot: they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building; 29 but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 “It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.

Jesus is clearly emphasizing sudden, unexpected, catastrophic judgment from heaven on evil men, leading to their total and eternal destruction. Most in the world, even many professing Christians, refuse to believe in Jesus’ future global judgment. This is why many have no fear of God (Lk. 12:5; Rom. 3:18). Jesus says that right before His coming in judgment, people will be going about the daily routines of life with no fear of judgment or concern for eternity, just as in the days of Noah and Lot (Lk. 17:27, 29). Suddenly, Jesus will return from heaven in great power and glory to destroy the wicked (Isa. 11:4; 2 Thess. 1:8; Rev. 19:15). By “the wicked” the Bible means those who will not repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ, who was crucified for sinners, died, was buried, and then resurrected from the dead (Mt. 3:7; Eph. 5:6; Col. 3:6; 1 Thess. 1:10). To escape the wrath of God one must flee to Jesus Christ in faith for salvation and deliverance from God’s holy wrath (Isa. 45:22; 55:6-7; Lk. 3:7; Jn. 3:13-16, 36; 1 Cor. 15:1-4). Bible commentators point out that Jesus in Lk. 17:26-30 is teaching us several things about what the world will be like before His coming:

  • The world will be exceedingly wicked as in the days of Noah (Gen. 6:5, 11) and Lot (Gen. 18:20).

  • The world will be preoccupied with the daily routines of life, rather than worshiping their Creator, righteousness, and the things of eternity.

  • The world will ignore, refuse to believe, and consider as a joke the warnings of the coming judgment just as the people of Noah’s day rejected his preaching of righteousness for many years while he built the ark (Gen. 6:11-22; 2 Pet. 2:5). And just as Lot’s son in laws thought the warning of Sodom’s destruction was a joke, though the message had been delivered to Lot by the two angels (Gen. 19:12-15.)

  • The world will be unprepared and caught off guard when God’s sudden, unexpected judgment falls on them.

  • The world of wicked men will all be destroyed by God’s judgment (Phil. 3:18-19; 1 Thess. 5:3; 2 Thess. 1:6-9; Rev. 19:11-16).

Most Bible commentators pick up on all the parallels between the days of Noah and Lot just listed. Yet most miss the parallel between a unique kind of the sin in the days of Noah and Lot that will also be occurring on the earth before Jesus’ Second Coming. We will look at this unique sin as it closely relates to topics still to be discussed.

A Notable and Unique Sin in the Days of Noah and Lot

In Lk. 17:26-30 Jesus could have referred to many biblical examples of God’s judgment upon sinful men. However, Jesus picked the only two texts in the Bible that speak of sexual relations between angels and men. I believe Jesus did this on purpose. It is not an accident. Four times in Lk. 17:26-30 Jesus tells us that His coming in judgment upon the world of evil men will be like the days of Noah and Lot:

  • "just as it happened in the days of Noah" (vs. 26).

  • "so it will be in the days of the Son of Man" (vs. 26).

  • "it was the same as happened in the days of Lot" (vs. 28).

  • “It will be just the same on the day that the Son of Man is revealed" (vs. 30).

I think Jesus’ primary emphasis in Lk. 17:26-30 is to teach us that sudden, unexpected judgment will fall upon the exceedingly wicked men of the world who are unprepared to face judgment, just as in the days of Noah and Lot (Mt. 24:29-31; 2 Thess. 1:6-10; Rev. 19:11-16). Yet, all the other parallels mentioned above will also be true of the world at Jesus’ coming. I believe there is also a parallel of the same kinds of sin being committed. It is significant that Jesus chose the only two texts in the Bible that refer to sexual relations between angels and men to use as examples. Since all the other parallels between the days of Noah and Lot match up, it is almost certain that Jesus is telling us the same kinds of sins will also be occurring as well when He returns.

When Jesus says, “just as it happened in the days of Noah,” we need to ask ourselves, “What happened in the days of Noah?” Unique to Noah’s time, the sons of God, i.e., fallen angels, demons, or evil spirits, (Gen. 6:2, 4; Job 1:6; 2:1; 38:7) "left their own domain," and "did not keep their proper abode" (2 Pet. 2:4; Jude 6), and cohabitated with the daughters of men, i.e., “took wives for themselves” and “the daughters of men bore children” as the result of their sexual union with demons (Gen. 6:2, 4). The demon/human offspring were called the "Nephilim," "mighty men of renown" (Gen. 6:4). One of the consequences of demons taking wives for themselves and producing the Nephilim is stated in Gen. 6:5, "The wickedness of man was great on the earth and every intent of the thoughts of men's hearts were only evil continuously." Sounds like Paul’s commentary on the sinfulness of man in Rom. 1:26-32 and 2 Tim. 3:1-9. God then sent the global flood upon the earth because demons had corrupted the human race making mankind exceedingly wicked. The Nephilim, being only part human, would have been irredeemable by the perfect human sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See this blog post on the Sons of God in Gen. 6 or my sermon on Genesis 6:1-4).

Jesus also teaches us, “it was the same as happened in the days of Lot” (Lk. 17:28). What happened in the days of Lot? Again, unexpected judgment upon unprepared, evil men is certainly in view. But what unique sin occurred in the days of Noah and Lot? The unique sin is sexual relations between angels and men. The wicked men of Sodom tried to have sexual relations with holy angels (Gen. 19:5). Was this a common practice in Sodom before its destruction? It is hard to say, but it seems clear that Lot knew the men of Sodom would rape the angels if they slept outside in the city square, for he pleaded with them and “urged them strongly” to spend the night in the safety of his house (Gen. 19:2-3). When the men of Sodom tried to rape the two holy angels lodging with Lot, the angels struck the sexually perverted men of Sodom with blindness to deter them from their wicked pursuits (Gen. 19:11). Yet, the immoral lust and depravity of the men of Sodom was so great, their desire to have sexual relations with angels so consuming, that even after being struck with blindness by the angels, they “wearied themselves” to find the door of Lot’s house in an attempt to satiate their lusts (Gen. 19:11).

The desire of men wanting to have relations with angels may have been indicative not only in Sodom, but also in Gomorrah and "the cities of the valley,” since they are all lumped together as being judged for the same sins (Gen. 13:12; 19:25, 29; 2 Pet. 2:4-22; Jude 6-7). In Genesis 18:20 the Lord describes the condition of Sodom, Gomorrah, and the cities of the valley saying, "The outcry of Sodom and Gomorrah is indeed great, and their sin is exceedingly grave." Demons having sexual relations with humans would fit the bill as a sin of an “exceedingly grave” nature. Peter tells us that in the days of Noah, angels “sinned,” men were “ungodly,” and had “unprincipled” “sensual conduct,” i.e., conduct of an extreme, uncontrolled immoral nature which perverted God’s created order of sexual relations between one man and one woman within the bounds of marriage only (Gen. 2:24; Rom. 1:26-27; Heb. 13:4; 2 Pet. 2:4-8).

Jude explicitly says the angels in the days of Noah “did not keep their own domain but abandoned their proper abode,” i.e., the spiritual realm (Jude 6-7). Angels are the true “interdimensional beings,” able to move between the spiritual and physical realms. Having left the spiritual realm and proper abode the angels entered into the physical realm of men. Jude says the sons of God engaged in "gross immorality,” i.e., sexual immorality of an extreme and perverted nature (Jude 6-7). Genesis 6:2-4 tells us the “gross immorality” committed by angels in the days of Noah were the sons of God, i.e., fallen angels or demons, taking wives for themselves, and from that union bearing chimera children, “the Nephilim,” who were “men of renown” (Gen. 6:4). Hebrew Lexicons tell us the word “Nephilim” means giants or race of giants who were fierce warriors. Thus, in the two examples Jesus gives in Lk. 17:26-30 the often overlooked parallel between the days of Noah, Lot, and Jesus’ coming, are sexual relations between angels and men.

Now that we have put the spotlight on the unique sin of the two examples Jesus gives in Lk. 17:26-30, i.e., sexual relations between angels and men, we are ready to consider the Nephilim, the offspring of the union between the sons of God having sexual relations with the daughters of men (Gen. 6:2, 4).

Nephilim Before the Flood Were All Destroyed

Genesis 6 says the result of fallen angels taking wives for themselves is that they produced “the Nephilim,” “mighty men of renown,” a race of giants who were mighty warriors. We are told that these hybrid demon-human chimeras "were on the earth in those days,” i.e., the days of Noah (Gen. 6:4; Jude 6-7). We are told that the angels who took wives for themselves and produced the Nephilim, are imprisoned by God in “pits of darkness reserved for the judgment of the great day” i.e., Tartarus (2 Pet. 2:9; Jude 6; Rev. 20:10). The Bible tells us that the worldwide flood of Noah’s day killed all of the pre-flood Nephilim. Genesis 7:21-23 reads:

21 All flesh that moved on the earth perished, birds and cattle and beasts and every swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind; 22 of all that was on the dry land, all in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died. 23 Thus He blotted out every living thing that was upon the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky, and they were blotted out from the earth; and only Noah was left, together with those that were with him in the ark.

Thus, it is certain that all the pre-flood Nephilim, who existed in the days of Noah, were destroyed by the flood. The angels or demons who took wives for themselves in the days of Noah, have been incarcerated in Tartarus or hell ever since, awaiting the judgment of the great day. Yet this is not the end of the story of the Nephilim. It is only the beginning as we shall see.

Nephilim, Rephaim, Anakim, Emim, and Zamzummim Giants After the Flood

Genesis 6:4 also says, “The Nephilim were on the earth . . . afterward,” i.e., after the days of Noah and the worldwide flood (Gen. 6:4). Many miss that critical word, “afterward” in Gen. 6:4. In fact, most professing Christians relegate “giants” to fairy tales and myths. A few may acknowledge giants or Nephilim existed before the flood in Noah’s day, but believe they were all destroyed, went extinct, like the great dinosaurs never to be seen again. Yet the Bible speaks of the Nephilim, mighty men of renown, giants, existing after the flood as well. Since the Nephilim giants were produced by relations between angels and men, this wicked practice must have continued after the flood. Goliath the Gittite, whom young David killed, is the most well-known giant in Scripture (1 Sam. 17). Some might conclude that Goliath was just an exceptionally large person. Yet upon closer examination we discover he was of the Rephaim, a synonym for the Nephilim. Nephilim were given a variety of names by different people groups in the Bible. Because references to giants in the Bible are spread out, many students of the Bible often overlook them. Consider the Biblical texts below that all speak of giants, the Nephilim, using various synonyms.

  • Gen. 14:5 (Rephaim, Zuzim, and Emim are described, and in other texts listed below, we are told they were giants).

  • Numb. 13:32-33 (Men of great size, Nephilim, and we are told the sons of Anak, or Anakim, are part of the Nephilim).

  • Deut. 1:28 (We are told the sons of Anakim were a people bigger and taller).

  • Deut. 2:10 (People are described as great and as tall as the Anakim).

  • Deut. 2:20-21 (Rephaim, are called Zamzummim by the Amorites, as described as great and tall as the Anakim).

  • Deut. 3:11 (Og, king of Bashan, was one of the Rephaim. He had a bed 13 ½’ long x 6’ wide, indicating he was about 12’ tall or taller!).

  • Deut. 9:2 (People great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, who were dwelling in the promised land and needed to be conquered by Israel).

  • Josh 11:21-22 (Refers to the Anakim being defeated by Joshua).

  • Josh. 12:4; 13:12 (Says Og, King of Bashan, was one of the Rephaim).

  • Josh. 14:12-14; 15:13-14 (Caleb asks for and conquers the hill country of Hebron where the Anakim lived in great fortified cities).

  • Josh. 17:15 (The Rephaim giants were dwelling in the hill country of Ephraim).

  • 1 Sam. 17:4-5 (Goliath of Gath, who was slain by David, was a giant 9’ 9” tall).

  • 2 Sam. 21:15-16 (Ishbi-benob, a descendant of the giant or in Hebrew, Rapha, who was struck down by David and Abishai the son of Zeruiah).

  • 2 Sam. 21:18 (Saph, a descendant of the giant Rapha, struck down by Sibbecai the Hushathite).

  • 2 Sam. 21:19 (Elhanan the son of Jaar-oregim killed a giant who was the brother of Goliath the Gittite, see also 1 Chron. 20:5 below).

  • 2 Sam. 21:20 (A man of great stature from Gath with six fingers on each hand, six toes on each foot, born to the giant Rapha, slain by David and Jonathan the son of Shimei).

  • 2 Sam. 21:22 (The four giants listed in 2 Sam. 2:15-20, who were slain by David and his men, were born to the giant Rapha).

  • 1 Chron. 11:23 (Benaiah the son of Jehoiada killed an Egyptian, a man of great stature, who was 8 ½’ tall).

  • 1 Chron. 20:4-8 (A man of great stature from Gath, six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, descended from the giants, was killed by Jonathan the son of Shimea).

The Bible speaks of the Nephilim existing after the flood in many texts as Gen. 6:4 predicts. There are taller people groups in the world and the rare individual with a pituitary malfunction that grows to 7 feet or taller. Yet the biblical texts are not describing genetic flukes, products of overactive pituitary glands, or freak anomalies of Adam’s race. Remember, the Nephilim were giants, fierce warriors, “mighty men of renown” great, powerful, muscular, builders of “great fortified cities,” the offspring of demons having sexual relations with women. To defeat a Nephilim giant in battle was an honor and an achievement, hence the biblical mentions (1 Sam. 17; 2 Sam. 21:15-22).

Since demons having sexual relations with women before the flood produced the Nephilim giants, it is reasonable to conclude demons having sexual relations with women after the flood produced them as well. Thus, it is reasonable to conclude that relations between demons and women have continued throughout post flood history. If this is indeed the case, we should be able to find evidence outside of the biblical record of the Nephilim or giants. And we should also expect the same kind of gross immorality and exceedingly great wickedness to occur in the last days, our days. Remember Jesus said in Lk. 17:26-30 that it would happen and be just like the days of Noah and Lot. Angelic and human relations producing Nephilim, angel/human chimeras, or giants.

Historical Evidence of Nephilim Giants Outside the Bible

I am not going to spend a lot of time here because others have done a great deal of research to show that giants have existed in many places around the world. There are many accounts of the remains of giants being found and reported in newspapers in early American history. I would recommend Richard Dewhurst’s book, The Giants Who Ruled America, to reorient your thinking on the reality of giants in America. His work is a fascinating compilation of documented accounts of the remains of giants discovered. A similar work, a bit broader in scope, is Xaviant Haze’s, Ancient Giants of the Americas. Or Jim Vieira and Hugh Newman’s work, Giants on Record, is also helpful.

The giant GILGAMESH holding a five hundred pound male lion

There are many documented cases in the works above of people discovering the bones of giants, calling the Smithsonian Institute, the Smithsonian arriving to investigate, confiscating the evidence, and later saying they have no recollection of the matter. Our government, or the deep state that runs our government, doesn’t want people to believe in giants. I suspect they don’t want people to believe in giants for a couple primary reasons. I am just guessing, but the first reason is that physical proof of giants existing gives credence to the veracity and truthfulness of the Bible. Second, because giants are produced by demons having relations with women. And third, because they want to gain a military advantage. Imagine the value of an army of Nephilim, great, tall, strong, men of renown, who are fierce warriors. Also consider the gross immorality that is needed to produce such giants! You would want to keep that a secret.

Read the resources mentioned above and you will learn the evidence for giants outside the biblical record is overwhelming. This is not to say that all so-called historical accounts or remains of giants are true. Surely, some accounts were hoaxes. It is also reasonable to conclude that some of the remains found of giants may have come from exceptionally large people, like some of our modern-day basketball players, exceeding 7’ in height. But when burial grounds are discovered with groups of giants, 8’ or taller, it argues against what normal human genetics might produce and indicates demon relations with humans.

Outside of the Americas, there are stories and artistic depictions of giants, such as the giant gods of Greek and Roman mythology, or the Norse giants or “Jotnar” of Viking legend, heroes like Thor, Fenrir, and Loki, or the giants depicted in Hindu, Chinese, and Japanese temples, or the giants depicted in Egyptian hieroglyphs, or in the tomb of Gilgamesh. Yes, there are those today who poo-paw all these references and depictions of giants, claiming they are “myth” and “legend.” Yet the Bible teaches that giants are neither myth nor legend, and have origins that are so incredible it sounds like a tale from Greek mythology! It is likely that the myths and legends of giants from various cultures around the world came from knowledge of real historical accounts of the Nephilim, the mighty men of renown. Their size, power, and exploits over time morphing into the “myths” and “legends” of various cultures. We see this same kind of thing concerning the worldwide flood of Noah’s day. Some two hundred different cultures all over the world have a flood story. Yes, they vary in detail. Yet we have in Gen. 6-8 the true account of the worldwide flood, for God was there, and He moved Moses to write down what happened by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21). When you have similar “legends” in many cultures, places, and times, it usually indicates they are based on historical fact. So, it is with the worldwide flood and also with giants or Nephilim.

In more modern history there are tales of people encountering giants. In the 1500’s Ferdinand Megellan’s expedition in Patagonia claimed to have encountered giants. In the 1700’s explorers Fracis Drake and John Byron claimed to have encountered giants. Paiute Indian legends claim there was a tribe of red-haired giants living in the Lovelock, Nevada caves who were trapped and burned to death by the Indians. In 2002 the US military supposedly encountered and killed a very large red-haired giant in Kandahar. It reportedly had six fingers on each hand and six fingers on each foot. All these accounts, and many others, have their legions of debunkers, saying that giants don’t exist. Surely many stories of modern-day giants are hoaxes, fabrications, click bait for social media, yet the Bible tells us giants are real and have existed. In addition, much physical evidence has been discovered for giants having existing after the flood. Many artistic depictions of giants can be found in different cultures around the world. Many legends speak of giants having existed as well.

If we believe the Bible is true, then we have to believe that things are going to happen in these last days just as they happened in the days of Noah and Lot. If we believe the Bible, we have to accept the fact that giants existed in Caanan through the time of King David, about 1000 BC. “Let God be found true, though every man be a liar,” (Rom. 3:4). Or as Isaiah the prophet prophesied in Isa. 8:20, “To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.” Those who don’t know the Lord are repelled by the light of biblical truth and therefore suppress the truth in unrighteousness, turning aside to myths, which they are convinced are true (Jn. 3:19-21; Rom. 1:18, 25; 2 Tim. 4:4; Titus 1:14).

Thus, there is biblical, archeological, written, and artistic precedent for giants. It is biblically possible, reasonable, and allowable that demons today could commit the same sins they committed both before and after the flood, i.e., have sexual relations with women in order to produce giants and mighty men. It is my personal opinion, and I may be wrong, but I think that this is what may be happening today. There are secret cloning programs and not so secret programs to produce chimeras (look up “spider goats” as an example). The governments of the world have a preoccupation with the bones of giants, the tombs of giants, like the tomb of Gilgamesh, which some claim was the real purpose for the war in Iraq. Since Operation Paperclip (see Anne Jacobson’s book, Operation Paperclip), Nazi occultists, captured after Germany’s defeat in WWII, were brought to the United States and given control of our top-secret military programs. Seems wild, like science fiction, but it is true. My hunch is that black budget military programs have been working for a very long time, being influenced by demons, to bring back the Nephilim, the mighty men of renown. And this leads us into the foggy forest of speculation of so called “conspiracy theories” that surround UFO and UAP disclosure.

Aliens, Greys, Nordics, Insectoid, and Lizard Humanoids

From many directions today we hear testimonies and discussions of various alien species like Greys, Nordics, Insectoid, and Lizard-like humanoids. Testimonies are coming from high ranking military personal, scientists, pilots, doctors, and a broad range of people of various ages and in various places. We might add to the humanoids listed above run-ins with semi-supernatural cryptids, like Bigfoot or Dog Man. We are not talking about a few testimonies, but thousands of people coming forward to describe their experiences with non-human intelligences (NHI), inter-dimensional beings, and cryptids. Many instances are surely false, fabricated accounts to increase clicks and views. But many accounts are from people with nothing to gain, with little online presence, and reluctantly come forward to tell their story. Many had their experiences before the internet. Most experiencers hold to their testimonies throughout life. They live out of the public eye, believing in the reality of what they experienced. Many debunkers and skeptics after digging into this subject have become convinced believers because of the legion of testimonies.

Before we get into what the Bible might allow concerning the various beings people are claiming to have encountered, we need to first be reminded of several biblical truths.

Satan, Angels, and Demons are Interdimensional Beings

The first truth I want you to keep in mind is that the Bible teaches angels, both holy and fallen angels, demons, or evil spirits, are inter-dimensional beings, i.e., they can phase from the spiritual realm into the physical realm and back again (e.g., Mt. 28:1-7; Lk. 1:11; 2:13; 22:43; Acts 12:7). Holy angels, when appearing in the physical realm, are often described as looking like men (e.g., Gen. 18:1-2, 16, 22; 19:11, 16; cf. 19:1, 15). Thus, some have entertained angels without knowing it (Heb. 13:2). Satan appeared in the form of a serpent in the garden to deceive Eve (Gen. 3:1; 2 Cor. 11:3; Rev. 12:9; 20:2). The Apostle Paul warns us that “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14). The Bible also teaches us that Satan, and demons, are able to possess, i.e., take total control of any unbeliever from within, i.e., anyone who has not repented of their sins and placed their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation (e.g., Mt. 8:16, 28; 9:32; 12:22). Satan and demons, by possessing unbelievers, are able to both afflict and use them as bridges or proxies from the spiritual realm to the physical realm of men. The most notorious example being the future Antichrist who is possessed and receives power from Satan himself (2 Thess. 2:3-10; 1 Jn. 2:18; Rev. 13:2, 4, 12). It is necessary when discussing UFO, UAP, and cryptid encounters, to remember that Satan and demons are interdimensional beings who can take on different forms or disguises in order to deceive people.

Trust in the Word of God Not Experiences

A second truth we need to remember is to trust in the Word of God over and above our experiences or the experiences of others. We must use the Bible to judge and validate people’s experiences (Isa. 8:20; 1 Thess. 5:21). Though I have experienced the new birth (Jn. 3:1-7), I am not an “experiencer,” i.e., someone who claims to have been abducted or seen UFOs, UAPs, aliens, or cryptids. Yet, the Bible teaches us that experiences are not a reliable source of truth nor are they compelling evidence. Experiences are often radically different between people who observe the same event. People’s recall of experiences often change over time. The size of fish caught by the angler often grows in his mind over time. And this is why first-hand testimony, though good and often used in courts of law to bring a verdict, is nevertheless not as reliable or compelling as the inerrant, unchanging, authoritative truth of the inspired Word of God. It must also be affirmed that the testimonies of many first-hand witnesses is more reliable than the testimony of one or a few. The testimonies of UFO, UAP, NHI, and cryptid experiences are in the many thousands. Nevertheless, all these combined testimonies of people’s experiences are still not as reliable as the Bible. As we shall see, Satan is willing to give people experiences in order to deceive them.

God, in His Word, teaches us to live by the Scriptures (Deut. 8:3; Josh. 1:8; Ps. 119:160; Jn. 17:17) and to place our faith in Jesus Christ, who is “the way, the truth, and the life,” (Jn. 14:6). Jesus taught the priority of trusting in the Word of God rather than experiences in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus (Lk. 16:19-31). In the parable, the rich man finds himself being tormented in hell’s fire. Part of his torment is being able to see across an impassable gulf and witness Lazarus, the poor man he neglected at his gate, being comforted in Abraham’s bosom. The rich man asks Abraham for water to cool his tongue, but is denied. Then this conversation occurs between the rich man who is in hell and Abraham who is in a place of comfort with Lazarus:

27 “And he [the rich man] said, ‘Then I beg you, father [Abraham], that you send him [Lazarus] to my father’s house— 28 for I have five brothers—in order that he may warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’ 29 “But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them hear them.’ 30 “But he said, ‘No, father Abraham, but if someone goes to them from the dead, they will repent!’ 31 “But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead.” (Lk. 16:27-31, NASB95)

Notice that twice the rich man asks for a miracle, an amazing supernatural “experience,” i.e., Lazarus being raised from the dead to be an evangelist in order to convince his unbelieving brothers to repent lest they too end up in hell. Yet both times Abraham says the brothers have “Moses and the prophets,” i.e., the Word of God, to convince them of what is true. After the second appeal by the rich man for Lazarus to be raised from the dead, Abraham definitively says, “If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead” (Lk. 16:31).

The rich man, like many today, erroneously thinks experiences are more compelling evidence than the Word of God. Yet Jesus has Abraham teaching the truth of the matter. If the brothers are unwilling to listen to the inspired Word of God, Moses and the prophets, no miracle or experience will persuade them.

The Apostle Peter teaches the same critical truth of trusting in the Word of God more than our experiences. He mentions his greatest experience on the Mount of Transfiguration (Mt. 17:1ff; Mk. 9:2ff; Lk. 9:28ff), where he saw Jesus talking with Moses and Elisha in future kingdom glory, and heard the Father give testimony to Jesus saying, “This is my beloved Son with whom I am well pleased, listen to Him” (Mt. 17:5; Mk.9:7; Lk. 9:35). Peter the writes this in 2 Pet. 2:19-21:

19 And we have as more sure the prophetic word, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. 20 Know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes by one’s own interpretation. 21 For no prophecy was ever made by the will of man, but men being moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. (Legacy Standard Bible)

Here in 2 Pet. 1:19-21 the Apostle Peter teaches us that the Bible is more sure than even our greatest experience. In other words, we must use the Bible to judge, verify, and validate the legitimacy of our experiences. What we must not do is mold, twist, or distort what the Bible says to fit our experiences, which is a standard practice of false teachers (2 Pet. 3:16). God’s Word is reliable, unchanging, objective truth. People’s experiences, however, may be false or only partly true. Thus, we must trust in the more sure Word of God over and above our experiences. We must use the Word of God to judge and validate our experiences and the experiences of others.

Remember that Satan and Demons Deceive People Through Experiences

A third truth to keep in mind is that Satan is a very powerful and intelligent spiritual being, a deceiver, a master illusionist, magician, liar, and murderer (Jn. 8:44; Jude 9). As Martin Luther wrote in his classic hymn, “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God,” Satan’s “craft and power are great, and armed with cruel hate, on earth is not his equal.” God tells us in His Word that as the second coming of Jesus Christ approaches, Satan and those he uses will give people great experiences in order to deceive them.

  • “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24)

  • “Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved.” (2 Thessalonians 2:8–10)

  • “He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” (Revelation 13:13–15)

  • “And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.” (Revelation 19:20)

Satan and demons deceive people with experiences. They do this both directly and through those who reject the truth of God’s Word. Satan performs “great signs and wonders” with “all power” and “all deception of wickedness.” Satan is even willing to give people good and beneficial experiences if he can lead them into damning heresy. This truth is critically important to the UFO, UAP, NHI, and cryptid discussion.

All Unbelievers Are Currently Deceived, Blinded, and Satan’s Tools

One last truth to keep in mind before we consider what might be happening in the world of alien humanoid and cryptid testimonies and experiencers. The Word of God teaches that all unbelievers, i.e., those who are “in the flesh” (Rom. 8:5-8), “anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ” (Rom. 8:9), “the natural man” (1 Cor. 2:14), those “dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1-3), etc., are all currently deceived, controlled by, and are being used by Satan to promote his evil agenda. There are many synonyms used in the Bible to describe unbelievers, i.e., those who have not “received the love of the truth so as to be saved” (2 Thess. 2:10).

Most religious unbelievers imagine there are three categories of people in the world:

  1. The very bad and evil people of the world, e.g.,, murders, rapist, pedophiles, etc.

  2. The good, moral, upstanding people, like themselves, who believe in God.

  3. The religious extremists who insist that everyone must repent of their sin and believe in Jesus Christ alone for salvation from the wrath of God to come.

Many embrace the “three kinds of people in the world” paradigm and see themselves in the middle group. Yet the middle group is a lie, a deception, and delusion straight from the pit of hell. The middle group doesn’t exist but is a false category designed to keep the majority of people in the world content on their way to hell. I don’t mean to be harsh, unloving, or sensational, but merely want to state what the Bible clearly teaches. There are two only two groups of people in the world, the children of God and the children of the evil one, the saints and the sons of darkness, those who hear Jesus’ voice and follow Him and those who do not. Many synonyms are used in the Bible to describe believers and unbelievers. In short, you either have repented and placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord, Master, King, and Savior or you are a child of the evil one and reject Jesus Christ as your Lord, Master, King, and Savior.

The existence of only two categories of people in the world is apparent to anyone who reads the Bible. I am drawing attention to the two groups because I want you to consider the largest category, those who have not repented, placed their faith in Jesus Christ, and been born again by grace (Jn. 1:12; 1 Cor. 15:1-4; Eph. 2:8-9; 2 Tim. 1:9; Titus 3:5). The so-called “middle group,” is one and the same with the first group, those who reject Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. What does the Bible say about all who have rejected Jesus and who are not saved by grace? Here is a bullet list of some of what the Bible says about all who are lost and perishing.

  1. False Christs, prophets, and teachers of the end times will perform great signs and wonders (Mt. 24:24), “teach doctrines of demons,” and “deny Jesus’ incarnation” (2 Cor. 11:13-15; 2 Tim. 4:1; 1 Jn. 4:1-3).

  2. All unbelievers, religious or not, biblically literate or not, church going or not, are of their father the devil and therefore do their father’s deeds (Jn. 8:44).

  3. Satan is “the ruler of this world” (Jn. 12:31) and all unbelievers are his subjects (Mt. 13:38; 1 Jn. 3:10).

  4. Satan, the “ruler of this world” (Jn. 12:31; 16:11) and “god of this world,” “blinds the minds of the unbelieving” (2 Cor. 4:3-4).

  5. Satan raises up and uses “false apostles” and also “disguises himself as an angel of light” in order to deceive people (2 Cor. 11:13-15).

  6. Satan possesses people, taking total control of them from within, and uses their physical bodies for his nefarious purposes, e.g., Satan “entered into Judas” twice, first to move Judas to make a deal with their chief priests to betray Jesus (Lk. 22:23) and again to later betray Jesus (Jn. 13:27).

  7. Satan “filled the heart of Annanias to lie” (Acts 5:3).

  8. Satan is the “prince of the power of the air, the spirit now working in the sons of disobedience,” all unbelievers (Eph. 2:2).

  9. Satan uses “evil men and imposters” to deceive (2 Tim. 3:13), the Antichrist being his ultimate human tool of deception (2 Thess. 2:3, 9-11).

  10. “The whole world of unbelieving men, without exception, “lie in the power of the evil one” (1 Jn. 5:19).

  11. Satan “takes advantage” of those who are ignorant of his schemes (2 Cor. 2:11).

  12. Satan is a “deceiver” and “deceives the world” and “the nations” (2 Jn. 7; Rev. 12:9; 18:23; 20:3, 8, 10).

  13. Satan was able to offer Jesus “the kingdoms of the world” (Mt. 4:8-9; Lk. 4:6-7), because when Adam and Eve, the intended rulers of the world (Gen. 1:26, 28), listened to Satan, rather than the Lord, they forfeited their dominion of the world to the evil one. Thus, Satan rightly said to Jesus, all the kingdoms of the world “have been handed over to me, and I give it to whomever I wish” (Lk. 4:5-7).

  14. Satan holds all unbelievers captive to do his will (2 Tim. 2:26).

  15. Satan “deceives the whole world” of unbelieving men (Rev. 12:9; 13:14; 18:23; 19:20).

I know the list of Scriptures above may be a bit depressing to consider. Yet it is necessary to understand what is true. All unbelievers, whether they be conservative politicians, podcasters, news reporters, journalists, or UFO/UAP whistleblowers, who seem to be on the “good side” of UFO/UAP disclosure, as well as all experiencers of UFO, UAP, NHI, alien humanoids, and cryptids, who are not yet saved by grace, through faith, in Jesus, are all Satan’s pawns and tools. Not some, but all. They may be very smart, educated, credible in the eyes of the world, but they are all deceived and enslaved to the evil one. I find it interesting that after listening to and reading many accounts of experiencers, I have never heard the fifteen truths stated above mentioned. Neither the interviewer, journalist, or experiencer ever speaks of all unbelievers being deceived, enslaved, and held captive to do Satan’s will. Settle it in your mind, the whole world of unbelievers from every class, culture, and walk of life, religious, non-religious, law abiding, criminals, conservative, and liberal, all lie in the power of the evil one (1 Jn. 5:19). Thus, everything they say must be scrutinized by the Word of God.

Some Biblically Allowable Explanations for Alien and Cryptid Humanoids

Okay, now that we have reminded ourselves of some key biblical truths, let’s consider the thousands of eyewitness reports, firsthand testimonies of experiencers, statements of whistleblowers, diligent journalists, government, and military officials who are telling us there are extraterrestrial beings, aliens from other planets, Greys, Nordics, Insectoid, and Lizard-like humanoids, as well as various cryptids like Bigfoot and dog man. Are all these thousands of testimonies false and fabricated? It is highly unlikely. I think it is reasonable to assume that many testimonies of people’s experiences are given in sincerity. But we must remember the expert illusionist or magician is able to deceive people into believing something is true, when in fact it is false. Entire stadiums of people have had their senses and experience tell them, “This is true! I have seen it with my own eyes!” But were sincerely deceived. Most of Germany got behind Hitler! As we have learned, experiences are not to be trusted, but we are to place our faith in the Word of God. Satan is the master illusionist, magician, and deceiver (Gen. 3:1-4, 13; Jn. 8:44; 2 Cor. 11:3; 2 Jn. 7; Rev. 12:9; 20:3, 8, 10). The devil uses convincing experiences to deceive the world of unbelieving men.

What are some biblically allowable explanations for what people all over the world are currently experiencing and have experienced in the past concerning extraterrestrial beings, interdimensional beings, UFO, UAP, aliens, Greys, Nordics, Insectoid, Lizard-like humanoids, and various cryptids?

  1. Maybe all the many thousands of testimonies in the past and present are all intentional fabrications and lies to deceive people.

  2. Maybe only some of the many testimonies are purposefully fabricated by liars and the rest are from people who are sincerely deceived.

  3. Maybe some testimonies are sincere, and people truly experienced what they claimed, but they are deceived by Satan or by men about what they experienced.

  4. Maybe the government, black budget programs, deep state, corporations, and/or the industrial military complex are purposefully deceiving people by creating alien creatures using 7D holograms, animatronics, robots, deep fake, augmented reality, masks, costumes, etc., coupled with various kinds of known and unknown advanced tech to hide their illegal activities, or to prepare for a worldwide psyop, designed to take away citizen’s rights, grant power to a one world government, all under the guise of banning together to fight an “existential alien threat” that doesn’t really exist.

  5. Maybe Satan and demons are entering into the physical realm and appearing in various forms which is why the testimonies of some alien or cryptid encounters describe these creatures as dematerializing and vanishing from sight.

  6. Maybe the government, corporations, deep state, and/or military industrial complex have for years been creating chimeras, human clones, soulless beings, and human hybrids for military purposes. The various aliens, cryptids, or creatures people witness may be, in part or whole, the illegal experiments of men controlled and influenced by Satan. Maybe these illegal projects are kept secret to prevent social outcry. Maybe our government has contract with private corporations to do illegal things, like create human hybrids, because private corporations do not need to comply with a freedom of information act requests (FOIA), and because contracting with private corporations gives government officials plausible deniability, e.g., “the government is not doing any cloning.”

  7. Maybe government black budget programs, the deep state, corporations, and/or the military industrial complex, have used occult practices, remote viewing, meditation, drugs, and/or physical science, to communicate with and receive information from “interdimensional beings,” who they may, or may not realize are demons. Remember, Nazi occultists from Operation Paperclip have worked in our most secret black budget programs since WWII to help mankind build advanced tech, make money, and gain power. The people in these programs think they are using interdimensional beings, i.e., demons, to their advantage, when in fact they are being used by Satan for his advantage.

  8. God is giving Satan and demons more leash or permission (Lk. 22:31) to deceive the world of unbelieving men as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ approaches (2 Tim. 3:13). God is purposefully sending upon the world of unbelieving men, who rejected the truth of His Word, “a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false” (2 Thess. 2:11). God can’t tempt or deceive people directly, but He does give permission to Satan and demons to deceive people (Judges 9:23; 1 Sam. 16:14-16; 18:10; 2 Kings 22:22-23; 2 Chron. 18:21-22; Job 1:8-11; 2:4-6). And thus God, through Satan, demons, and evil men is allowing those who have rejected the truth to be deceived, that they might be judged (Rom. 1:18-32).

It is my opinion that a combination of options 2-8 above account for what we are seeing in the world today. I have questions that the Bible doesn’t address, such as:

  • If men create human clones, are clones soulless, having bypassed the natural means of human reproduction?

  • If human clones exist, are they perfect receptacles for demon possession?

  • If demons are having sexual relations with women today, as they have done in the past, do sexual relations between men and angels always produce Nephilim giants, or do they produce other kinds of hybrid human beings?

  • If demon/human relations are occurring, are all or some of their offspring interdimensional and able to move between realms?

  • If governments are being aided by demons to produce advanced tech, does that advanced tech include advanced aircraft or drones that people are mistaking as alien UFO or UAP?

  • If men are working with demons to advance secret military technology, has mankind learned how to create free, clean, unlimited energy, advanced propulsion systems, cloaking devices, teleportation, antigravity devices, time travel, quantum travel, the ability to view the future or the past, the ability to disable, kill, confuse, or control people’s minds?

These questions, and others like them, I expect will never get answered. I have suspicions about our government, black budget programs, trillions of missing tax payer dollars, the so-called deep state or military industrial complex partnering with big corporations to do illegal and evil things in secret. But what I do know is that this world is proceeding from bad to worse, men are being used by Satan to both deceive and they are also being deceived. I know things will be just like the days of Noah and Lot when Jesus returns. I suspect the evil of the end times will include sexual relations between demons and humans. I know God has given the world over to immorality, homosexuality, depraved minds, and wickedness as a pre-judgment to His final judgment. I know Satan is the ruler of this world, that all the kingdoms of the world have been handed over to him to rule. I know Satan is the master liar and deceiver and that the entire world of unbelieving men currently are in his power to accomplish his will.

But here is the encouraging part. God is sovereign over all, even sovereign over Satan. God is in ultimate control and guiding His creation. Anyone who repents of their sin and places their faith in Jesus Christ will receive the free gift of eternal life, be born again by the Holy Spirit, and live forever with Jesus Christ, even if they die. I know Christians are not to forsake the assembling of themselves but to encourage one another “all the more” as the day of Jesus’ glorious appearing draws near. I know Jesus said we are not to fear when we see all these things for they must come to pass. I know that God works all things out for the good of those who love Jesus Christ and to those who are called according to His purpose. We don’t need to know all that we are curious about, but we have in the Bible everything we need pertaining to living our life to the glory of God. I know we are to stay in the Word, pray, worship, equip the saints, and evangelize the lost until Jesus comes. And concerning Satan, the arch enemy of our souls, as Martin Luther rightly wrote in his hymn “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”:

And though this world, with devils filled,

should threaten to undo us,

we will not fear, for God has willed

His truth to triumph through us.

The prince of darkness grim,

we tremble not for him;

his rage we can endure,

for lo! his doom is sure;

one little word shall fell him.
